Where Are They Now - Elijah Walsh
In 2018, Elijah joined Queen Ethelburga's College as a Year 11 student, beginning an incredible journey that would see him thrive both on and off the court. During his time at QE, Elijah demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his passions, excelling academically and athletically.
Throughout his three years at QE, Elijah was an integral part of the basketball team, competing in every season and steadily honing his skills. His dedication and discipline not only made him a standout athlete but also instilled in him the values of teamwork, resilience, and perseverance.
In Sixth Form, Elijah pursued a Triple BTEC in Sport, which complemented his athletic endeavors and prepared him for the next stage of his journey. QE’s supportive environment and tailored approach enabled him to balance his academic studies with his sporting commitments, fostering growth in both areas.
Fast forward to today, and Elijah’s hard work has paid off. He is currently in North Carolina, playing NCAA Division 1 basketball on a full-ride scholarship at Campbell University. Competing at this elite level is a testament to the talent and dedication Elijah displayed during his time at QE.
Off the court, Elijah continues to excel academically. He is majoring in Trust and Wealth Management, with a minor in Financial Planning. This unique combination of athletic and academic pursuits highlights his determination to build a future that merges his passion for basketball with a solid foundation in finance.
While Elijah’s ultimate goal is to play basketball professionally, he has also prepared himself for a fulfilling career as a financial advisor. His ability to balance his athletic ambitions with academic excellence serves as an inspiration to current QE students, demonstrating what is possible with hard work and a clear vision.
We are incredibly proud of Elijah’s achievements and look forward to seeing where life takes him next. Whether it’s on the court or in the world of finance, there’s no doubt that Elijah will continue to shine and make an impact.
