Queen Ethelburga’s Medical Centre

Queen Ethelburga’s has a fully equipped medical centre onsite to ensure all students receive excellent medical assistance should they require it.

The school medical centre houses three assessment rooms, four dedicated medical bedrooms, a waiting room and a reception. It is staffed around the clock by two fully qualified nurses, with doctors running additional surgeries during the daytime.

Always Available

Students are free to visit the medical centre at any time should they feel unwell and boarding students can book an appointment to see a doctor.

We have full resuscitation kits, oxygen and Entonox, along with defibrillators in our fitness suite, sports hall, swimming pool and in other central areas around campus.

The team also works closely with the school to provide a health programme within Personal Development lessons and alongside the Sports department to educate students on how to take care of their general health and wellbeing.
