Where Are They Now: Dr Ethan Perkins

Where Are They Now - Dr. Ethan Perkins

On our inaugural "Where Are They Now Wednesday," we would like to highlight our fabulous alumnus, Dr. Ethan Perkins!

Ethan attended QE to study for his A Levels, graduating in 2012. He is now a Lecturer of Cancer Biology and Therapeutics at the University of Bradford. Ethan embarked on quite a journey to reach his chosen career, achieving a Bachelor of Science (with Honours), a Master of Science with Distinction, and a PhD—all within nine years of completing his A Levels. Now one of the youngest university lecturers in the country, Ethan leads his Institute's MSc courses, including Drug Toxicology and Safety Pharmacology.

Ethan has generously offered some of our students the opportunity to gain work experience in his lab, giving them a first-hand look at what it’s like to be a researcher!

Yesterday, we invited Ethan back as our guest speaker for QE's school birthday. He delivered a fantastic and inspiring speech, sharing fond memories of his time at school and expressing gratitude to the staff for the support they gave him. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰

In Ethan's words: "Queen Ethelburga's is an incredible institution, but it's not the school that makes it incredible—it's the people: the staff and students who uphold the values of being a Queen Ethelburgian every day. It means being a caring and compassionate person committed to supporting everyone around them."

Thank you, Ethan!
